Sept. 10th - Packet Pick up, Bike drop off, Transition set-up and Race Briefings
loewsnewPacket Pick-up at the Loews Lake Las Vegas Hotel, outside in the Lamenza tent next to transition. Pre-registration is required.

  • 4:00pm: Packet Pick up and Transition Set-up begins at the Loews Lake Las Vegas. Packet Pick-up will be outside in the LaMenza Tent, directly next to transition (weather permitting).
  • 5:00pm: Pre Race Briefing in the Transition Area @ the Loews Hotel
  • 6:00pm: Pre Race Briefing in the Transition Area @ the Loews Hotel
  • 7:00pm: Pre Race Briefing in the Transition Area @ the Loews Hotel and Packet Pick up ends.
***All Athletes are encouraged to set up transition or at least drop their bike off in transition on Friday night! This is very common in Triathlon. With the early start, it allows the athlete time to simply park, get body marked and warm up. No unloading bikes, waiting for chips, bike inspection and finding a space in transition at 5AM! The transition area will be guarded by a professional security company throughout the night.


Sept 11th: RACE DAY- Swim Start Times are Updated as of 8/14/10

  • 5:00am : Transition area open for set-up
  • 6:15am : Swim course open for Warm-up, for both Sprint and Intermediate.
  • 6:30am: Sprint Swim start, 1st Wave
  • 6:33am: Sprint Swim start, 2nd Wave
  • 6:45am : Intermediate Swim start, 3rd Wave.
  • 6:48am : Intermediate Swim start, 4th Wave (if needed)
  • 8:30 -11:00 Water Taxis will begin leaving the Montelago Village to bring athletes back to the Loews Hotel (Transition)
  • 9:00am : Sprint Distance Awards Ceremony - At the Finish Area in the Montelago Village
  • 9:45 (will be dictated by the # of athetes finished) : Intermediate Distance Awards Ceremony- At the Finish Area in the Montelago Village
